Into the Valley – Welcome to Douro
We begin our journey with a morning departure from Porto, leaving the city behind as we wind our way into the heart of the Douro Valley. The landscape gradually shifts-rolling hills, terraced vineyards, and the ever-presente river guiding our way.
Around midday, we stop in Régua for a relaxed snack-style lunch, sampling local buites ina charming setting that gives you your first taste of the region's rich flavors and laid-bakc rhythm.
In the afternoon, we visit a traditional olive oil press, where you'll discover the secrets behind this golden ingredient and enjoy a guided tasting that celebrates its deep roots in the valley's culture.
Then it's time to see the valley from its most iconic perspective-with a scenic boat ride along the Douro River. Glide gently between hillsides draped in vines, soaking in the peace and tarual beaty of this UNESCO World Heritage landscape.

Adventure & Wine
After a peaceful morning and a nourishing breakfast at the accomodation, we start the day with a little adventure - just enough to wake up our senses and connect with the river that shapes the valley.
In Covelinhas, we set off on a 1.5 hour kayaking journey along a calm stretch of the Douro. Surrounded by vineyard-clad hills, this paddle offers a fresh and active way to experience the valley's natural beauty. (foto)
We follow up with a well-earned lunch at a local restaurant, where regional flavors meet riverside charm - slow food, great wine and a view to remember.
In the afternoon, we enjoy a scenic drive through the valley, stopping at an iconic viewpoint to soak in the wide, sweeping beaty of the region - perfect for a photo, or simply a pause to take it all in.
Then we arrive at a traditional wine estate for a guided visit. Wander through the vines, descend into stone cellars and learn about the craft and tradition behind the Douro´s world renowned wines - of course, with a tasting to round it off.
We wrap up the day with a dinner at a regional restaurant, where food, wine, and conversation flow just as easilly as the river.

Walk, Wonder, and One Last View
We start the day with a peaceful breakfast at the accomodation, enjoying the calm of the valley one last time before setting off for a final adventure.
This morning's highlight is a guided 4km hike along the Douro Valley, an easy and rewarding route with a gentle descent of 330 metres and just enough elevation gain to keep things interesting. As we walk through terraced vineyards and quiet trails, the views open up to reveal the timeless beauty of this region - from rolling hills to the river winding far below.
At the end of the trail, we pause for lunch at a local restaurant, where tradition and flavor meet in one last delicious meal.
Before we leave the valley behind, we make one final stop at a stuninning viewpoint - a farewell moment to soak it all in, take a deep breath, and capture a memory that'll stay long after this trip ends.
By the afternoon, we begin our return to Porto, endind our journey with full hearts, full bellies, and a deep connection to the soul of the Douro.
