This is is a deeply immersive experience in one of Portugal’s most stunning natural wonders. Escape the city of Porto for a day filled with breathtaking landscapes, hidden waterfalls, crystal-clear lagoons, charming villages, and traditional gastronomy—all set within the majestic mountains of Peneda-Gerês.

It is possible to customise this tour according with some mobility restrictions, different schedule and places to visit.
Start your day with a private 4x4 pick-up from Porto, whisking you to the heart of Peneda-Gerês National Park. Upon arrival, your expert guide will take you to visit a magical waterfall, where you’ll have time to soak in the beauty of the cascading waters, and perhaps enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear pools.
After your visit to the waterfall, it’s time to indulge in a traditional Portuguese lunch at a cosy local restaurant. Enjoy the rich flavours of regional dishes, complemented by a glass of refreshing vinho verde, for a true taste of the area.
Next, immerse yourself in the local culture with a visit to a typical village, where you’ll learn about the fascinating way of life, steeped in tradition and history. Your guide will share stories about the village’s commitment to preserving its heritage and its strong connection to the surrounding landscape.

What To Bring
Comfortable, appropriate wheather clothing and non slippery walking shoes (no sandals or flip flops);
Warm clothes, change of clothing and a raincoat or jacket (fall and winter);
Swimsuit and towel (swimming is only possible if the waterfall’s current allows);
Sunscreen;
Snack for middle morning/afternoon;
Water: we encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle, which you can refill with fresh mountain water along the way.
Important Notes
Travel time 1h40 min: Porto > National Park / National Park > Porto.
Take in consideration that the Land Rover is a vintage car, built for the mountains but not for comfort- some parts of the ride can be uncomfortable.
Some of the seats of the 4x4 vehicle are not facing-forward, and for taller travellers you might have the feeling that you are cramped.
Being a vintage car the seat belts are different from modern cars, some seats just have the waist belt.
If you suffer from car sickness you should take medication before the tour or bring with you on the tour.
Infant seats available - children must be accompanied by an adult.
Age restriction: 3 to 75 years old.
The paths are downhill and uphill, terrain can be slippery and you might need to scramble over some rocks.
This activity is available all year round.
The itinerary can be altered to make the best of what the National Park has to offer.
The tour may be cancelled/rescheduled: due to bad weather conditions.
Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available, please advise at time of booking.
We need to know in advance of any food restriciton or mobility restriction.
On the day before the tour we send an email with the final details.

We will charge a cancellation fee of 100%, if the booking is cancelled 24h or less before start time.
